Seeking dedicated individuals to help create life-altering experiences through a poverty simulation.
Volunteer skills can include: Experience (personal or professional) with: poverty, trauma, financial instability, mental health/substance abuse issues, food insecurity, employment barriers, previous simulation experience.
Volunteers will be given an opportunity to experience what it is like to work for a social service agency and experience barriers associated with a life of poverty.
Please be advised that this simulation is intentionally designed to create feelings of discomfort and elicit strong emotions.
Volunteers must agree to assist throughout the full 5 hours, it is crucial to the success of the simulation to have the proper number of volunteers fully committed.
